The Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael McGivney, a parish priest who believed in strengthening families, supporting those in need, and building a brotherhood rooted in faith. His vision grew into a global Catholic organization dedicated to charity, unity, and service.
At Holy Redeemer Parish in Pickering, the Knights of Columbus carry that mission forward with the same spirit of compassion and commitment. Our council actively supports parish life, serves the local community, and uplifts families through meaningful outreach, ministry, and fellowship. Guided by Father McGivney’s legacy, the Knights of Columbus Holy Redeemer Pickering continues to be a place where faith inspires action and where service brings people together.

Everything You Need to Know
Any practicing Catholic man who wants to serve his parish, support his community, and grow in faith can join.
Knights volunteer in charitable activities, organize community events, support families, and strengthen parish life.
Participation is flexible. You can choose activities and events that fit your schedule while making a meaningful impact.
You can contact your local council or visit the parish office to speak with current members and start your journey as a Knight.
Yes, there is a small membership fee to support the council’s activities, but it is modest and helps fund charitable programs.
Members gain a sense of community, opportunities for personal growth, leadership experience, and the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
